This association has organized following programs in 21-22 session:

1. Organization of lecture on the topic “Insights and Mitigation of COVID 19 - Beyond the Third Wave” By Dr. Sayantan Banerjee to celebrate 72^nd foundation day and program was organized on 7^th September,2021 through on-line mode.

Dr. Sayantan Banerjee, deliberated on the issues of COVID-19 pandemic that was still   prevalent during the time of the program. We were just coming out of the brunt of the        first wave and were yet to experience the horror  associated with the second wave of the pandemic. His lecture and interactive session was highly enriching and all the        participants which included both alumni and student participants were enthralled by the information and positivity that the front line warrior exuded during his lecture.

2. Organization of Certificate Course in “Web Design” on 18^th, 19^th, 25^th and 26^th of September, 2021 (On line Mode) A total of 60 participants completed this certificate course.

A total of 45 participants participated in this program organised by the alumni association in collaboration with Purple Patch with the resource person being Prof. Bakul Srimany. Prof. Srimany over two consecutive weekends delved into the nuances of web designing from scratch and provided a wonderful hands-on experience for the participants. The program was coordinated and compered by the secretary of BGCAA Prof. Sampa Debnath. All participants received participation certificates which we believe would enhance their CV’s.

3. Organization of Career Counselling program on "OPPORTUNITIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION ABROAD" on 20^th April, 2022 (Off-line mode). This was done in collaboration with Stratosphere Educational Consultants, Kolkata. Almost 100 students and faculty members were present in this program.

On 20 April 2022, an offline career counselling session was jointly organized by BGCAA, Career Counselling, Entry in Service and Placement Cell, Barasat Govt. College Alumni Association and Stratosphere Education Private Ltd. Main focus of the seminar was to make students aware of the career opportunities abroad. Abja Adhikary (Chief Learning Officer), Rashmi Chakraborty (P.R.O.) Sucharita Basu (C.A.O.) of Stratosphere Education acted as the resource person for the event. 90 students covering both UG and PG level participated in this event.

Quiz Competition on College Foundtion Day Download

On 27 June 2021, BGCAA distributed baskets of daily household products among 200 railway hawkers who remained almost unemployed during the last one and half years. Our honourable Principal sir of the college and some of our respected professors also join the program to make the occasion a memorable one.

During the Pandemic situation BGCAA donated smartphones to some needy students to enable them to continue their online classes.
